Adelaide-based accounting and wealth advisory firm Perks has appointed Richard Bowden as director of accounting and business services and John Rawson as director of tax consulting, as the firm continues to invest in senior capability across its advisory offering, as reported by Accountants Daily. Both appointments bring decades of specialist experience from Big Four and mid-tier practice backgrounds to the South Australian firm.

Bowden joins from Accru Harris Orchard, where he served as director of tax and business services from mid-2010. A chartered tax adviser listed on The Tax Institute's website, he brings close to 30 years of experience advising private and family-owned businesses, with a focus on structuring, succession planning and commercially grounded client advice.

Rawson brings more than 25 years of corporate tax advisory experience, having previously served as lead tax partner at Deloitte for more than two decades across a broad client base spanning multiple industries. The firm describes him as specialising in high-stakes tax matters where structure, timing and judgement are paramount, with a particular interest in the design of remuneration and incentive structures for private companies.

The appointments follow a period of sustained growth at Perks, including the acquisition of accounting and business services firm GPK Holdich in late 2024, six internal promotions in mid-2025 and the appointment of a general manager around the same time.
