KPMG has named Dublin-based partner Anna Scally as its new global head of technology, media and telecoms (TMT), marking a significant leadership development for one of the world’s largest accountancy and professional services organisations.
Scally, who has more than two decades of senior leadership experience, will oversee the firm’s international TMT practice and support its ambitions to expand services for clients operating amid rapid digital transformation.
KPMG, headquartered in the Netherlands and present in more than 140 countries, said the appointment reflects the increasing strategic importance of TMT capabilities within the global accountancy landscape.
A long-standing member of KPMG Ireland, Scally has advised many of the world’s major technology and media organisations on international tax matters and previously served as the firm’s TMT sector lead in Ireland. Her experience extends across governance, transformation, cross-border tax planning, and advising on high-growth digital business models.
Since 2024, she has also led KPMG’s TMT practice across the EMA region, covering the UK, Europe, the Middle East, India and Africa. The firm said the expanded global role will see her drive growth initiatives, support major multinational clients, and strengthen the firm’s international TMT collaboration.
KPMG highlighted that Scally’s appointment comes at a time when organisations worldwide are accelerating digital investment and reassessing tax, compliance and operational strategies. Scally said she was honoured to take on the global leadership role, noting her commitment to helping clients navigate the pace of technological change. KPMG stated she will focus on delivering “innovative solutions for clients navigating rapid technological change.”
In addition to her client-facing responsibilities, Scally currently serves on the Irish board of The Ireland Funds.
