Ifac, the national accountancy and financial advisory firm, has acquired Michael G Murphy Accountants, a Charleville-based practice, strengthening its presence across north Cork and the wider Munster region. The transaction sees the Charleville team joining forces with Ifac's Mallow office.
The Irish Independent reported that Ifac, which has been operating for 50 years, provides specialist advice to the farming, food, agribusiness, and SME sectors. The firm's national growth strategy has seen expansion across 30 locations nationwide, working with 600 professionals.
Michael G Murphy Accountants brings an established reputation for supporting local enterprises and farming clients. Mike Murphy, of Michael G Murphy Accountants, said joining Ifac represents an "excellent opportunity" for his team and clients.
