UK accounting and business advisory firm HURST has appointed three senior professionals across its business services and tax teams as it continues expanding its advisory capabilities. The appointments support the firm's wider growth strategy as it works towards becoming a £20m (€23.4m) turnover practice by 2028.
Consultancy.uk reported that Sam Parry has joined HURST as a senior manager in the business services team, while Harvey Hubbard has been appointed manager and Kate Oakes has joined as corporation tax compliance manager. The firm said the appointments form part of continued investment following its move to become part of the Dains Group earlier this year.
Headquartered in Stockport, HURST provides compliance and business advisory services to companies and organisations across the UK and Europe. Its business services division, which employs more than 70 people, delivers audit, compliance, strategic advisory, outsourcing and business planning services to a growing national client base.
The firm said Parry joined from Mercer & Hole after previously training with KPMG and spending two years with Australian accountancy firm William Buck. Hubbard joined after training and qualifying with BDO before serving as an audit client manager at Kirk Rice, while Oakes joined from KPMG.
Simon Brownbill, head of practice development at HURST, said: "We are delighted to welcome Sam, Harvey, and Kate to the firm. They each bring valuable experience, technical expertise and fresh perspectives that will further strengthen our teams and enhance the service we provide to clients."
He continued: "These appointments reflect our continued investment in talented people as we grow our national client base and expand the range of services we offer. Attracting high-calibre professionals from leading firms is testament to the opportunities available at HURST, and supports our ambitious plans for the future as part of the Dains Group."
The firm said its accounts and business advisory team remains central to its growth plans, supporting businesses through cloud accounting adoption, financial operations modernisation, data system improvements, bookkeeping and payroll services. HURST also recently appointed Aamilah Mohammed as an associate in the same team.
