HLB Mann Judd has grown its Perth business advisory services division to over 30 professionals by acquiring local firm A Plus Business Advisors.

Based in Subiaco, A Plus has operated for nearly two decades, providing tax, compliance, financial reporting, superannuation, and advisory services for individuals and small enterprises.

The acquisition adds roughly a dozen accountants and advisors to HLB’s team, expanding both capacity and sector expertise. HLB Perth managing partner Norman Neill said, “This delivers increased scale to our existing offering but also adds a respected group of advisors to our own quality team.

The expansion significantly boosts the size and depth of our business advisory services division, positioning us among Western Australia’s top ten accounting firms.”

A Plus founder Garry Anderson brings more than 40 years of metropolitan and regional accounting experience, including prior roles at RSM Bird Cameron and as a founding director of another firm.

He noted, “From our earliest conversations with HLB, it was clear that their culture and client-first mindset closely aligned with ours, and I’m excited to be joining the firm and contributing to this next phase of growth.”

HLB’s business advisory practice leader Rowan Tracey added that integrating A Plus’ team provides “additional depth across several key areas and ensures we continue to offer tailored, practical advice to help our clients navigate the road ahead.”

The Perth expansion is part of HLB’s broader national growth strategy, which includes recent integrations in Robina, Lismore, and Newcastle, enhancing both audit and advisory capacity across Australia. The acquisition strengthens HLB’s competitive position and supports continued service innovation in the business advisory market.
