Deloitte Australia and Credibl have introduced SustainNext Climate Reporting, an AI-powered platform designed to streamline climate data collection, reporting, and assurance for Australian companies. The platform integrates Credibl’s AI capabilities with Deloitte’s climate and assurance expertise to simplify compliance under the forthcoming Australian Accounting Standards Board (AASB) framework, effective July 2026.

SustainNext addresses long-standing challenges in climate reporting, including fragmented processes, high administrative burden, and the need for audit-ready data. The system automates key reporting steps, consolidates data across value chains, and embeds AI to detect risk patterns, benchmark performance, and generate reports aligned with AASB, IFRS, and ISSB standards.

According to Deloitte’s Sustainability & Climate Leader, Sarah Kinsela, the platform bridges assurance confidence with digital speed, offering organisations a clear, efficient path to compliance while laying foundations for long-term value creation. Credibl CEO Jitesh Shetty emphasised that automation allows sustainability teams to shift focus from administrative tasks to strategic decision-making, enabling companies to convert reporting obligations into actionable insights.

The new platform is particularly relevant for businesses with global supply chains, where unifying and auditing sustainability data quickly becomes a competitive advantage. It also reflects wider global trends in ESG reporting, as regulators in Europe and North America pilot AI-supported assurance systems to improve data integrity and auditability.

SustainNext Climate Reporting is positioned not just as a compliance tool but as a strategic enabler, helping companies integrate sustainability assurance into core financial systems and enhance transparency for investors and stakeholders.
