Chartered accountants top trust survey among Scotland’s professionals

Arecent study by Edelman DXI for Chartered Accountants Worldwide (CAW) has revealed that chartered accountants are regarded as the most trusted professionals in Scotland.

According to the biennial trust survey, 87% of senior business and finance decision-makers trust chartered accountants “to do the right thing”, placing them ahead of scientists (84%), engineers (84%), doctors (83%), academics (70%) and lawyers (65%).

This represents a notable increase in trust, with a 12-point rise since 2023.
