Lanarkshire-based accountancy firm Accountants Plus has marked its 25th year in business with a move into a new 18,000 sq ft, three-storey headquarters on Airbles Road in Motherwell, as the firm targets annual turnover of £4m (€4.8m) in 2027.
Deadline News reported that the new building has been secured and developed as part of the firm's five-year transformation business plan, providing what the firm describes as the infrastructure, visibility, and professional environment required to support continued expansion.
Founded in 2001 by senior partner Bryan Wood as a one-person practice, Accountants Plus now employs more than 35 professional and support staff, serves over 1,000 clients across Scotland, and recorded annual fee income of £3m (€3.6m) in 2026, a near four-fold increase from approximately £750,000 (€901,000) seven years ago.
Wood said: "This building is a milestone, not a starting point. It is a tangible marker of the progress we have made since our founding in 2001 and a clear signal of where Accountants Plus is going. Our growth has been driven by trusted client relationships, broadening technical capability and consistently high standards. The new headquarters gives us the space, flexibility and profile needed to continue delivering that success over the long term."
Accountants Plus currently occupies the entire 6,000 sq ft second floor, fitted out as a modern collaborative workspace. The firm plans to expand onto the 6,000 sq ft first floor over the medium term as its audit team continues to grow; that floor is currently vacant and can be configured as four self-contained units.
The firm delivers audit, accounting, tax, R&D claims, charity accounting, cash flow forecasting, and wealth planning services to businesses across Central Scotland.
