Ronnie was Senior Lecturer in Professional Accounting Practice at Ulster University from 2003 until his retirement in 2022.

Prior to becoming a full-time educator in 1989, he held various roles in industry and professional practice.

His primary interest is ensuring that students understand the link between the theoretical and academic basis of their studies and how accounting impacts on business and society. 

As well as the UK and Ireland, he has delivered and designed academic and professional courses internationally and contributed to international capacity building projects. He was elected to ACCA’s Council in 2014, and was elected to the role of ACCA Deputy President in November 2022.
